  • This is a hands-on role leading a concrete crew on a daily basis.
  • Making mathematical calculations to figure quantity of materials required for a job.
  • Shooting grades and figuring elevation and drainage.
  • Plans a safe project site and implements work activities in a safe way, every day.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Writing sufficiently to complete time-sheets, work orders, daily log of work and other reports.
  • Consistently meets estimate labor production estimates.
  • Builds a productive team by positive attitude and leading by example.


  • 5+ years of experience in public works or heavy civil construction including: sidewalks, driveways, curbs, gutters, form setting and layout.
  • Willing to travel to project sites across the state.
  • Able to read and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable of MAG Specifications.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license,
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Some experience in asphalt patching a plus.



  • Must have experience in flat work, curbs, gutters, form setting, and layout.
  • Must know how to build and lay out forms as required according to specifications and have the ability to make calculations.
  • Must know how to spread, level, and smooth concrete while using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
  • Must keep a clean and safe work site.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites across the state.


  • Must have experience in underground sewer and water lines.
  • Experience using pipe laser preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites across the state.


  • Dump truck and water truck drivers will perform dust control and general labor.
  • Must have clean AZ CDL license w/ tank endorsement and Maricopa County Basic dust control training card.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites across the state.



  • Must be proficient with backhoe, loader and excavator.
  • Candidate should have experience digging around underground utilities.
  • Should be knowledgeable of OSHA trench excavation safety guidelines.



Job responsibilities and duties include:

  • Repair and maintain heavy construction equipment.
  • Fuel and grease heavy equipment on jobsites and in yard as required
  • Manage small tools and supplies
  • Maintain inventories of fuel, oil, filters, etc.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance
  • Keep shop clean and in a safe manner.
  • Utilize forklift and company vehicles to unload, stock, and pick up parts at local vendors, dealers, and suppliers

Required skills:

  • Able to troubleshoot and repair electric and hydraulic systems.
  • Fabrication and welding experience
  • Accurate record keeping of all daily tasks via computer and paper transactions
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
  • Able to bend, kneel, walk or stand for long periods of time in all types of weather
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to read and write English
  • Must have valid AZ Commercial Driver’s license(or willing to obtain)
  • Must have excellent driving record

This position requires you to be able to travel throughout the state as needed to repair equipment.  May be required to work overtime and weekends on occasion.
